The Role
We’re seeking an Intermediate Data Analyst who will report to the Data & Analytics Engineering Lead and bring curiosity, technical skill, and a collaborative mindset. In this role, you’ll help shape Fig’s data ecosystem by defining essential metrics, transforming complex information into reliable datasets, and maintaining data models that scale with the company’s needs. You’ll also deliver clear, actionable analysis that supports strategic initiatives across teams. This position is ideal for someone who values problem-solving, communication, and continuous learning while contributing to a data culture that empowers people with timely, trustworthy insights and drives meaningful outcomes throughout the organization overall.

What you'll do

  • Partner with different Fig teams to help to uncover actionable insights that influence business strategy and product growth.
  • Build dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and empower self-service analytics.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design and maintain robust data models and transformations using dbt and SQL.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across Fig’s data pipelines.
  • Support ingestion and transformation workflows leveraging.
  • Document and version-control all analytics code using Git and shared repositories.
  • Implement data quality checks and validation to ensure reliable reporting.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure new features are properly instrumented for analytics.
  • Collaborate with various other Fig teams to maintain integrity and security of financial data.
  • Help define data governance practices and standardized metrics across departments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, deliverables, and expectations.
