What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for new hires and exiting employees.
- Administer payroll, including liaising with a third-party vendor team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Prepare and manage offer letters, contracts, and other key HR documentation.
- Process People Operations–related invoices for accounts payable, ensuring accurate coding, timely submission, and alignment with budget and vendor agreements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
- Run HR reporting and data analysis to inform decision-making and track compliance.
- Lead performance and feedback processes using performance management tools.
- Provide frontline support to employees on People-related questions and escalate when needed.
- Continuously look for ways to improve and streamline HR operations and policies.
- Support recruitment coordination, including background checks and candidate communications.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years of experience in a senior HR generalist role, preferably in a startup or high-growth company.
- Experience with Canadian payroll and benefits administration; familiarity with Wagepoint is a strong asset.
- Comfort using and managing HRIS systems, ideally Humi.
- Hands-on experience with performance management tools like Lattice.
- A “get-it-done” attitude—you're scrappy, adaptable, and not afraid to build as you go.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR compliance practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—you’re approachable, responsive, and solution-oriented.
- Previous experience managing third-party vendors.
